ISRAEL - KDAMIBA, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority, has done a bit of a u-turn with regard to their 2008 Eurovision Song Contest selection format. Where it was originally thought that there would be a joint effort between IBA and commercial broadcaster, Channel 2, it has now been made clear that this project is now off the table and Boaz Mauda will be the Israeli participant in Belgrade. He won the most recent series of 'Kohav nolad' on Channel 2, 'Kohav nolad' is a show akin to X-Factor. There will now be a mini Kdam next year in which Boaz will sing five songs for the public to choose from.
